I would like to take a moment to wish ALL of you the BEST in the New Year to come.
I've made a New Year's resolution which I intend to keep. I'm putting things in the past behind me and not to judge others too harshly and be more forgiving.
I met someone online through myspace and we later shared phone numbers. I thought that person wasn't being honest with me and treated that person very, very badly and without just cause. I am not proud of how I acted at that time and have acknowledged that. I have recently sent that person two e-cards and I hope that it reaches that person and that person forgives me.
About a few months ago I met a man through a friend of mine and we exchanged numbers, bad mistake. He began calling me all hours of the day and night and I had to change my home number, twice! I have since chosen to forgive him and move on. I was also attacked by a man while defending my late fiancee, he had cancer and couldn't defend himself physically. I have also chosen to forgive that person. Otherwise, I couldn't live with myself harboring feelings of anger.
I have spoken to my Church pastor about these events in my life and said "am I a bad person for acting like that and saying hateful and doing hateful things to those who I feel have wronged me?" My pastor said "No, you were lost then and have found God and Jesus and have a truly compassionate heart and have chosen to forgive and you too shall be forgiven". I now sing in my Church choir and am truly blessed by my friends and family and my pets.
Recently, my Doctor changed my medication. I'm bi-polar and have been prone to periods of irrational behavior/mood swings in the past. The new medication is working for me much better. I feel much calmer these days and even my brother, family and friends have noticed a major difference. I'm not the same person I was a few years ago. I'm much happier now and intend to keep my New Year's resolution of being kinder to others.
I would also like to say God Bless ALL of you here. I think of each and everyone of you as a friend. It is an honor and pleasure to be amongst you.
