Whoa! That sounds like you're such a busy bee Nacky! I'm overwhelmed by your work and efforts. I don't know what to say sometimes..lol All I can say right now is how I appreciate it all! The skin for Cassie is definatley now feeding through way quicker. And sans "line" also is looking fabu! The little icons I pasted in for things here and there, was working for the meantime, until such time if they need tweeking or modifying. What? Hawke had issues? The guru??? LOL... It must be a chunk of code indeed for him to have problems..lol Hopefully it'll be solved if possible. Can't wait to see the Serina's Window skin! Humongous hugs and appreciation and lots of APPLAUSE to you and Hawke for all your work and help!

You can see the Serina's Window skin if you go to modify your profile to it. I plan to add some good textures though. Block colors are okay but I think textures adds a little something extra. I want to lighten the golden texture on the Cassie skin because I think it's too dark for the words to come through all that well. Hawke, send me a PM or post here on how to get the BSG font into my picture program because when I try to "open with..." and select the Picture It! program, it always says TT Battlest cannot be opened. Also do I just add "Serina's Window" in the Hack Manager like the others are listed in there? Gotta go for now! Shiny sparkly greetings for everyone!

I went in and selected Serina's Window skin...and still waiting for the images to feed in.( ?) I'm still not seeing any images...just the block colours for the board itself. Which is nice...but really dying to see the skin though. Hmmmm...

Okay try it now. I uploaded the pic to a different host. It should load faster but it is a big file. There might even be a way I can blend the colors better on the actual photo. I'll make some test pics.

Yep, it seems to come through now. Well, I have no doubt you can blend the photo to your satisfaction, llike you did with the Cassie Skin. That's why you're the Skin Mistress!
It looks really cool though!

Thanks! I'm still working on skins so it's a process. I was thinking of how to blend the background of the Serina's Window skin but tried to use paint to transfer like colors to blend with the right and top sides. Didn't work so well but then I thought, I can use a border, like a trim and it could be like the lines of a spaceship interior or something. And since the Travels skin has a kind of off center of the image in the repeating image, a border might do well with that too. All I'd have to do is add them to the original pics and upload them to a host and see what it turns out like. Some hosts load very slow, as Sarika and I have found...

You're Welcome. Hosts, such as image hosting sites? I've found that photobucket is a good one for images. Those load fairly quickly.

Yeah the hosts being image hosts. Tinypic is good. Imageshack is okay too. But both those have been known to lose pics and Tinypic has been known to replace links with OTHER photos, so you never know what glitches might occur. It's frustrating when that happens. So I save the pics most of the time in like, Yahoo files and such.

Believe it or not I was going for a kind of space dust texture. The colors match the background pic well enough though. It does have a speckled look to it, sort of almost like an ancient papaya texture so there's a slight, slight Egyptian motif there.
After how well the 'Space & Velvet' skin came out, I think mixing space images with simple things like scrolls, feather textures will work great.

That works well actually as a space dust texture, and I just have to say again, how I like the colours that you have brought together for the Cassie skin/default skin!
It really creates a lovely look! I feel like I'm stepping into a Cyrannus universe! Love it!!!!! Many kudos Mistress! Thank you.

I agree with Siress Sarika. It is a very lovely look. Very eye catching, lovely and pleasing to the eye. It makes me feel very relaxed when I come here. A suggestion, if I may...I took a look at the background images, you don't want them too big, otherwise they wind up loading too long. I bought a new computer monitor recently and the background images of both images are really nice. I've got a wider monitor. Used to have a 19" one. It was starting to shake and I bought an LG LCD monitor. Got a good price for it to. If you can, try to see how the background image looks on different size monitors. Also, for the Battlestar font, you can download it and then drag the font into your font folder in windows. I found this a quick an easy way to do that. I really love what you're doing with the skins Nacky, keep up the GREAT work! *two thumbs up!*

I agree with Siress Sarika. It is a very lovely look. Very eye catching, lovely and pleasing to the eye. It makes me feel very relaxed when I come here. Thanks! I didn't realize that it had such a calming effect to others, I was inspired after watching the movie "Contact" starring Jodie Foster (did you ever see that?). So it kinda spoke to me. But of course, I'm doing everything to reflect as much BSG (TOS) as I can. Now of course I'll eventually get a skin made that reflects the moodier tones and motif of the re-imaged series, so all fans can enjoy but that's sometime off yet. Yeah that's another thing that can be a bit problematic. I had hosted some pics on another host but the loading was sooo slow that I took the pics and put them on another host. So it's trial and error, ya know? Oh wow, can you tell me how to do that? Hawke sent me the font in a TT file and I have no idea how to get that into my Picture It! program. Can you post an instruction on how to install that? Because every time I try to open it in Picture It! it says I can't open it WTH? Aw gee thanks! That's really very kind of you! ;D

Then you shouldn't have any problems opening it.
